Will It Succeed?
There's nothing like it. Yes, there are technological systems which we can relate V2P to, such as the V2V that the innovation is being based up, but there are no other technological systems that help the safety of pedestrians from vehicles. Our society nowadays relies heavily on the safety of society and having control over situations, making it very compatible with those needs of society as a whole to do things with their safety in mind. To support that, Honda has made it so that the complexity of V2P is fairly simple. If a car and person get too close to each other and they don't notice the danger, their smartphones or computer systems will alert them. The triability of the innovation has also made it easier for people to understand and want to adopt V2P, the video on the Honda website shows a graphic image of what the product can do and also shows us how it actually works in both the vehicle and smartphone. Overall, this innovation has the potential to really succeed because safety first. People have nothing to lose when choosing to use an innovation like V2P that can potentially save their lives doing things they do every day.
